Here are some of the many features and benefits of the AARP Automobile Insurance Program.
Lifetime Renewability...Once you are insured through this program, you can't be canceled for as long as you are able to drive. That means, you cannot be refused renewal -- regardless of age, health, or driving record -- as long as you meet a few simple requirements.* And this benefit begins with your first day of coverage.
12-Month Rate Protection...Our 12-month policy keeps your rates lower longer -- by protecting your rates for a full year. Many companies offer only 6-month policies, with the possibility of a rate increase twice a year.
New Car Replacement...In the event of a total loss within the first 12 months or 15,000 miles, your new car will be replaced with the same make, model, and equipment -- with no deduction for depreciation. It's automatically included with your comprehensive and collision coverage.
Lifetime Repair Protection...If you have an accident and choose to bring your covered vehicle to one of our authorized repair centers for covered repairs -- we'll stand by the workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. That's a valuable part of your comprehensive and collision coverage. And no estimates or claims forms are required.
24 Hour Claim Service...We know how disruptive an accident can be -- that's why our offices never close. So even if it's eleven o'clock on Christmas Eve, you'll reach a claims representative.
*If you are age 50 or older, once you're insured through this Program for at least 60 days, you cannot be refused renewal as long as applicable premiums are paid when due. Also, you and other customary drivers of your vehicle must retain valid licenses, remain physically and mentally capable of operating an automobile, have no convictions for driving while intoxicated, and have not obtained your policy through material misrepresentation. Specific features and discounts vary by state in accordance with our state filings and applicable law. Applicants are individually underwritten and some may not qualify. The Standard Plan of the AARP Automobile Insurance Program is underwritten by Hartford Fire Insurance Company and its affiliates, Hartford Plaza, CT 06115. In Texas, the AARP Automobile Insurance Program is underwritten by Southern County Mutual Insurance Company through Herris Butler, local recording agent. AARP membership is required for program eligibility in most states. AARP and its affiliates receive from The Hartford payments for AARP's license of its name and logo for use by The Hartford in connection with the AARP Auto and Home Insurance Program. Amounts paid by The Hartford for this license are used for the general purposes of the Association and its members.
